High-yielding soybeans - Jufeng King 9

"Jufengwang No. 9" is a newly developed high-yield soybean variety bred at the national base for improved soybean varieties with Chinese characteristics. It is particularly suitable for cultivation in provinces such as Henan, Shandong, and Hebei, where it has shown excellent adaptability and performance. The plant height of Jufengwang No. 9 typically ranges from 90 to 110 cm, making it a medium-sized, stalked soybean variety. It features a fan-shaped structure, large and round leaves, and strong, sturdy stems that are resistant to lodging. The crop matures relatively quickly, with a summer sowing cycle of about 110 days and a spring sowing cycle of around 125 days. Flowering occurs within 40 to 50 days after planting. The seeds have a brown coat, and the pods are compact, containing 3 to 4 pods per node. The weight of 1,000 grains is approximately 300 grams, and each plant can produce up to 200 seeds, yielding around 150 grams of grain per plant. The grains are uniform, full, and golden yellow, making it an ideal choice for producing tofu, soybean cake, and bean sprouts. Additionally, it is known for its high protein content, which enhances its value in the food industry. Jufengwang No. 9 exhibits limited growth habits, which contribute to its stability, high yield, and ease of management. One of its key advantages is that it automatically stops growing (autonomous capping), eliminating the need for manual topping. This feature saves labor and time, especially during busy farming seasons. The variety also demonstrates strong resistance to drought, waterlogging, and nutrient-poor soils. It is resilient against yellow wilt disease and other common soybean pathogens, making it a reliable choice for farmers. However, due to its high productivity, proper management practices—such as timely fertilization and pest control—are essential to maximize yields. In terms of yield, Jufengwang No. 9 performs exceptionally well. When sown in spring, it can produce over 250 kg per mu, while summer sowing results in more than 200 kg per mu. Its combination of high yield, disease resistance, and ease of cultivation makes it a promising option for both small-scale and large-scale soybean producers in China.
