Living the city life here for the past week has finally caught up with me. Today, I overslept but somehow managed to wake up just in time to get where I needed to go. Even though I only have a few minutes now, I need to share how incredible this place feels. Honestly, I made up a word for it—AMAZERGY. It perfectly sums up the vibe! The towering architecture here creates this incredible energy, with sunlight spilling over cobblestone streets. It’s like the city itself is welcoming us with open arms, and we’re embracing it right back. Chris deserves a standing ovation. He not only survived the chaos of airports, planes, baggage, diaper bags, bottles, baby food, a stroller, and two energetic toddlers—he did it all by himself. And let me tell you, I’m beyond proud of him. He’s such a good dad. We wandered the streets together, holding hands, while the kids took turns being pushed in the stroller once Aliyah's legs gave out after just five minutes of walking. We indulged in some fantastic food at Max Brenner (a must-visit spot) and even more chocolate than I care to admit. Afterward, we kept the babies up late to experience the dazzling lights of Times Square and took our yearly ride on the Ferris Wheel inside Toys R Us. You know, classic NYC stuff. As the Ferris Wheel spun above the three-story wonderland of toys and candy, the kids were mesmerized by the lights. They eagerly chose their next destination—Tinkerbell’s floor—after visiting Barbie’s house and calming a crying baby who got too close to a big dinosaur exhibit. Sound familiar? Yeah, that’s exactly what his sister did last year. By the time we stumbled back to the hotel, exhausted, we barely made it to bed before Mama dragged everyone out again the next morning for another adventure at my favorite toy superstore, B&H Photo Superstore. I probably spent a bit too much money there, but my family was patient with me, bless them. There’s so much more to share, but for now, we’re soaking it all in like sponges. Whether it’s running through the rain or basking in the sun, every moment feels magical. So far, we’ve experienced both, and honestly, they’re both equally amazing.
