I've been living the city life here for the past week, and it's finally catching up to me. This morning, I overslept, but luckily, I still managed to get to where I needed to go on time. Now, with only a few minutes to spare, I can't fully express the incredible energy I feel here. Honestly, I even made up a word for it—AMAZERGY. The city, with its towering architecture casting shadows over cobblestone streets, feels like it’s welcoming us with open arms. And we're definitely returning the embrace. Max Brenner by Union Square Park? UH-mazing. Chris, being the superhero dad he is, successfully navigated the airports, boarded a plane, and even managed to keep everything organized—diaper bags, bottles, baby food, and a stroller—with two little ones in tow. I’m telling you again because I’m so proud of him—he’s doing such an amazing job. We wandered the streets together, holding hands, while the kids took turns lounging in the stroller after Aliyah’s legs gave out just five minutes into our first stroll. We indulged in fantastic meals and loads of CHOCOLATE! at Max Brenner (seriously, a must-go spot), stayed out way past bedtime to soak in Times Square’s dazzling lights, and even took our yearly ride on the Ferris Wheel at the Toys R Us store. Daddy and his little princess. As the Ferris Wheel spun above the three floors of toys and candy, the kids drank in the sparkling lights, deciding which floor to explore first—the one with Tinkerbell, of course. After visiting Barbie’s house and calming a crying baby who got too close to a large dinosaur (same reaction as his sister last year), we were ready to call it a day. By the time we stumbled back to the hotel, it was time for some much-needed rest. But the next morning, I dragged everyone out again to visit my favorite toy superstore, B&H Photo Superstore. I ended up spending a bit more than planned, but my family was patient and understanding. There’s so much more to share, but for now, we’re still soaking up every moment with unbridled enthusiasm. Whether it’s walking in the rain or basking in the sun, each experience has been equally thrilling. So far, we’ve had both, and I wouldn’t trade either for anything. Life here is chaotic yet beautiful, and I’m grateful for every moment spent together.
