The role of fermented food fermentation

The Role of Glutinous Water in Food Fermentation With the rapid growth of the catering industry, many hotels are producing large amounts of waste water, commonly referred to as "drowning water." This type of water is not only inexpensive but also rich in nutrients, making it a potential feed source for pigs. However, because of its high content of spoilage and harmful substances, directly feeding it to pigs can be risky. Pigs that consume raw gizzards often suffer from health issues. To make this waste water safe and nutritious for pigs, fermentation is essential. In the past, I used to boil the water again before feeding it to the pigs, which was time-consuming, fuel-intensive, and inefficient. Plus, the boiled water spoiled quickly and couldn’t be stored for long. Last year, I came across an online article about a special fermentation starter called "Goldpox Hydroponic Ferment Starter," designed specifically for fermenting glutinous water. I decided to give it a try and bought two bags. It worked wonders—fermentation was fast, and the resulting feed had a pleasant smell, which made the pigs eager to eat. As a result, the pigs gained weight faster, and the overall economic returns improved significantly. This year, I raised 200 pigs in two batches and earned over 60,000 yuan. Pig farming remains a profitable and promising business. The preparation method involves mixing wheat bran, rice bran, and bran water in a ratio of 30%:30%:40%. If there's excess moisture, it’s better to drain some of it. Add 2/1000 of the Goldpox starter and mix thoroughly. The water content should be controlled at around 65%. To check if the moisture level is right, grab a handful of the mixture—if it forms a ball without dripping water and crumbles when pressed, it’s ready. Then, transfer the mixture into a fermentation tank (a small or large container, even a sink), seal it, and let it ferment for 3–5 days. After each use, reseal the container, and the fermented feed can last more than six months without spoiling. For more details, visit the official website or contact the supplier directly.
