How to eliminate the common troubles of feed crusher

First, check the power outlet, plug, and power cord for any signs of damage, such as burning, cracking, or oxygen evolution. If everything looks intact, connect a power supply tester to the outlet. When the motor is not running, manually turn the light-toggle wheel. If it turns smoothly, the issue might be related to the starting capacitors. One common problem is that one of the two start capacitors has lost its capacity. This usually occurs in new products due to manufacturing defects. In such cases, replacing the faulty capacitor should resolve the issue. Another scenario is when the motor doesn't rotate on its own but can be turned by applying external force. However, you may hear a weak current noise, which suggests a slight leakage in the start capacitor. If the noise becomes too loud, the motor may not start at all, indicating a short-circuited capacitor. In this case, the motor coil might also be damaged, requiring professional repair. If you don’t have access to professional tools, you can test the capacitor yourself. Remove the capacitor (4UP/400V), then insert its two leads into the live and neutral sockets of the mains power. Charge the capacitor for a few seconds, then carefully short-circuit the leads to discharge it. If a strong spark and a loud "click" sound are produced, the capacitor is still functional. If the spark is weak or absent, the capacitor has likely lost its capacity and needs to be replaced with a new one or supplemented with a smaller capacitor. However, if the capacitor is severely shorted and cannot be tested this way, it must be replaced with a new one of the same specifications. Always ensure proper safety precautions when handling capacitors, as they can store dangerous amounts of electrical energy even after being disconnected from the power source.
