As we continue to monitor the evolving situation with COVID-19, we're implementing additional measures to keep our stores clean and safe. Here's what we've done:
- We've shortened our store hours to give our team more time to thoroughly sanitize the space. Our first hour of business is now reserved for our senior and immunocompromised customers. Be sure to check our website for the latest updates on store hours.
- High-touch areas like registers, scales, and bathroom facilities are being sanitized frequently using Nixall, an EPA and FDA-approved cleaner that's both food-safe and highly effective. We keep it stocked at every register and customer service desk.
- HEPA filtration air filters with UV lights have been installed in all locations to improve air quality. Additionally, weekly ozone treatments are conducted after hours to eliminate bacteria and viruses. These treatments ensure no elevated ozone levels are present when the store is open.
- Gloves are available for customers in our bulk sections to use while filling containers, and most testers have been removed to minimize potential contamination.
For our team members, we’ve taken several precautions to keep them safe too:
- Every employee gets a free Elderberry shot per shift to boost their immune system.
- Thermometers are provided to all employees so they can regularly check their temperature.
- Gloves and masks are mandatory for all staff, and protective plexiglass shields have been placed at registers and customer service desks.
- Break areas are set up to encourage social distancing, and we've kept the entrance doors open for a few hours in the morning to allow fresh air circulation.
