Plant them in a mix of river sand and decomposed leaf soil, keeping them in a shaded and moist environment. Rooting usually occurs within 1–2 weeks at temperatures between 20–25°C. Additionally, plants that shed their lower leaves can be replaced using cuttings to maintain a compact and healthy growth habit. For potting, a mix of 2 parts decomposed leaf soil and 1 part garden soil works well. Adding a small amount of base fertilizer enhances growth. Place a wooden column or stake in the pot, then plant 3–4 seedlings around it, guiding the vines to climb. Proper stem positioning ensures even distribution and an attractive shape. As temperatures drop in fall, reduce watering to prevent overwatering. Apply diluted liquid fertilizer 2–3 times a month during the growing season, avoiding overly concentrated solutions to prevent root burn. The Kirin leaf has strong negative resistance and thrives in semi-shaded conditions. In summer, direct sunlight should be avoided to prevent leaf scorching. Its glossy, dark green leaves and robust stems make it an elegant choice for indoor or outdoor spaces. This plant is native to the coastal regions of southern China and Southeast Asia, where it prefers warm, humid climates. It has moderate drought tolerance and requires well-draining, nutrient-rich soil. Due to its rapid growth and beautiful form, it’s often cultivated as a climbing plant, used for vertical greening or decorative purposes. Propagation via cuttings is straightforward: take 2–3 stem segments with 1–2 leaves, cut the leaves in half, and insert them into a mix of sand or vermiculite. Keep them in a shaded, moist area until rooted. Plants that have naturally shed their lower leaves can also be propagated through cuttings to maintain a neat and compact appearance.
