Damage and Prevention Technology of Continuous Cropping Cultivation in Greenhouse Strawberry

1 The hazards of continuous cropping of greenhouse strawberries

1.1 Long-term accumulation of pathogenic microorganisms

Continuous cultivation of strawberries on the same plot will cause significant changes in the microbial community in the soil. Suddenly, nematodes and pathogens will suddenly multiply, leading to the occurrence of pests and diseases.

1.2 Lead to imbalance of strawberry nutrient balance

After continuous greenhouse strawberry cultivation, harmful salts in the soil surface gradually accumulate, and nutrients that are easily absorbed by strawberries decrease year by year, resulting in imbalance of nutrient balance around the strawberry rhizosphere, which results in a lack of strawberry nutrients and a reduction in yield.

1.3 The accumulation of harmful secretions from strawberry roots

Strawberry roots in the normal physiological metabolism process, often secrete harmful substances on their own, continuous crops so that harmful substances accumulated each year, strawberry growth and development blocked, resulting in poor growth, affecting the yield and quality of strawberries.

2 Key Techniques for Continuous Control of Hazard in Strawberry in Greenhouse

2.1 Implement rotation system

Promote 2 to 3 years of planting, promotion of strawberry and other crops to implement reasonable rotation and planting, which can effectively mitigate the pathogeny of soil continuous cropping.

2.2 Replacement of soil topsoil

In the greenhouse where the strawberry is planted in front of the plant, 30 cm thick topsoil is excavated and replaced with sterile new soil, which has a good control effect for effectively preventing and overcoming diseases caused by continuous cropping of strawberries.

2.3 Strengthen the application of organic fertilizer

After the strawberry is harvested, a large amount of organic fertilizer is applied in a timely manner, and deep turning is then performed. This method has a very good effect on improving soil physical and chemical properties in the greenhouse and improving soil fertility.

2.4 Using sunlight for high temperature sterilization

In the months of July and August of each year, sufficient sunlight, radiation energy, and high temperatures, the use of solar energy for disinfection, the effect is better.

2.5 Application of pharmaceutical fumigation

The use of soil disinfectants for soil disinfection has the effect of preventing the spread of soil pathogens. Currently used soil disinfectants are dimethyl hydrazine, brominated methyl fumigant and so on. The application of soil disinfectant should pay attention to a single disinfectant can not be used for a long time, otherwise it will lead to soil disease resistance, so that the efficacy of disinfectants greatly reduced.
