The holding pool for temporary holding pools should be selected near lakes and gutters rich in shrimp resources, covering an area of ​​3 mu to 5 mu, a water depth of 1.3 to 1.5 meters, a slope ratio of 1:1.5 to 2, rectangular, and east-west direction. In the middle of the pond, a 0.5m wide and 0.5m deep shrimp ditch was opened. At the exit, a 0.5m deep, 3m wide and 5m long shrimp collection tank was dug. The shrimps are required to be physically strong, uniform in specifications, powerful in bouncing, full in appendages, and free from disease and injury. The general holding specifications are usually over 45 centimeters per tail. The size is too small and survival rate is low. Should pay attention to the specifications can not be too different, the difference is too large, it is necessary to take care of the rest of the pool, otherwise the shrimp will kill each other, while not conducive to sales. When you are stocking, you are required to have enough time and do not stock in batches.

Daily management

1. Feeding. In the winter, shrimp can feed and grow. It is necessary to insist on feeding and the amount of bait is 3% to 5% of the whole pond shrimp weight. The water temperature is lower than 5 °C, generally 2 days to 3 days feeding once, choose to feed at noon on sunny days. When the water temperature is above 5 °C, you should stick feeding every day. The bait is dominated by animal foods, supplemented by plant foods. There are chopped small fish, shrimp, animal viscera, crushed snails, etc., and animal feeds such as wheat bran, bean cake, vegetable cake, etc., and can also be fed with feed pellets. The bait should be placed in the shallow water area around the shrimp pond.

2. Water quality management. The holding pool requires a water depth of 1.5 meters or more to maintain a relatively high water temperature and maintain a certain degree of water in the body, with a transparency of 10 cm to 20 cm. If water is found to be frozen during the holding period, it is necessary to break ice in time to prevent the shrimp from suffocating due to lack of oxygen in the water surface. If the water level is too shallow, water must be replenished in time to prevent the shrimps from being frostbite and freezing to death; if the water quality is too thin, fertilization should be applied properly.

3. Prevent disease. During the holding period of freshwater shrimp, it is generally rare, but prevention of shrimp diseases must be done. Splash lime once every 15 days, remove the bait, debris, dead shrimp, etc. in the pool every day to keep the pond clean. It was found that there was algae parasitism in the shrimp, and 0.7 ppm of copper sulfate was poured in the whole pool and the water was changed after 3 days.

There are ground cages, shrimp and shrimp trawl nets for catching green shrimp. When more than 70% are caught, the pool water is drained, the shrimp is introduced into a shrimp tank, and the nets are hand-picked. Smaller-sized ones can continue to be raised for a period of time and will be listed for sale when they meet the specifications.
